GoFund Me Page Launched
New Glarus Cares, a local community organization formed to raise money for the purchase of the greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park, has created a new way for people to donate: a GoFundMe page. The foundation has raised thousands of dollars from the community to date and the new crowdfunding campaign will make it even easier for people to contribute to the cause.
"We are thrilled to launch this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for this important project," said Shelly Johnson, President of the New Glarus Cares Community Foundation. "The greenspace near Candy Cane Park is a beautiful area that we want to preserve for future generations to enjoy. We have already received a lot of support from the community, and we are excited to see how much we can raise through this new platform."
Crowdfunding has become an increasingly popular way for charities and nonprofits to raise funds for their causes. By leveraging the power of social media and online communities, crowdfunding campaigns can quickly reach a large audience of potential donors.
"Crowdfunding is a great way for us to engage with the community and get people excited about this project," said Johnson. "It allows people to contribute whatever amount they can, no matter how small, and it creates a sense of ownership and investment in this project. Plus, it's a really easy and convenient way to donate. All you need is an internet connection."
