Celebrate New Glarus Before Homecoming Game
The entire community is invited to come together for a “Community Celebration” on Friday, Oct. 18, ahead of the New Glarus Homecoming football game. The gathering will take place from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on 1st Street, in front of Dirty Dog Taphaus and the New Glarus Hotel.
Zenda Klassy’s Gift to Candy Cane Park
Zenda Klassy's $2,500 raffle winnings from the 2024 World Euchre Championship funded a picnic table and bench for the new inclusive playground at Candy Cane Park. Though she passed before its completion, her generous gift, along with a donation from her husband, will benefit the community for years to come.

New Playground Ribbon Cutting Enjoyed by Many

This donation brings the organization close to their fundraising goal for the playground and ADA-accessible parking, marking a significant step towards creating an accessible play space for all children.
Tournament Raises Funds for Playground
New Glarus Cares' annual World Euchre Championship, held last month, was a major success, drawing participants from afar and raising funds for an ADA-accessible playground at Candy Cane Park. The goal is to order the playground equipment soon and have it installed by the end of the year.
New Glarus Cares Scores Big with Euchre Fundraiser
New Glarus hosted a busy weekend with over 400 contestants at the 2024 World Euchre Championship, organized by New Glarus Cares. Sponsored by Bicycle Cards, Jack Link's, New Glarus Brewing, Decatur Dairy, and New Glarus Fest Haus, the event saw Yamuna Reddi win singles and Team Wolf win doubles.

Community Leaders Gather to Boost Volunteerism
On April 13th, over 20 New Glarus organizations gathered at Village Hall to boost volunteerism. Facilitated by Mary Funseth and hosted by New Glarus Cares, the meeting included non-profits, service groups, and local government. They discussed strategies to overcome barriers and promote community engagement.
Village Unites for Earth Day
New Glarus celebrated Earth Day with a community garbage pick-up organized by New Glarus Cares. Despite chilly weather, over 20 volunteers cleaned up Veteran’s Park, Valle Tell Park, Village Park, Candy Cane Park, and various roads, including Highway 69 and Railroad Street.
