Last Thursday, over 60 community members gathered at Candy Cane Park to celebrate the ribbon cutting of New Glarus's new inclusive playground. The $250,000 project was made possible by contributions from the Village of New Glarus, a matching grant from an anonymous nonprofit, and donations from local businesses and supporters. The playground is designed to be accessible for children of all abilities, creating a welcoming space for everyone in the community.

The event featured a potluck dinner, with children eagerly exploring the new playground's accessible features and equipment. The project serves as a testament to the community's dedication to improving public spaces and ensuring all children can enjoy them. Now open, the playground will be a hub for families and a symbol of what can be achieved through collective effort.
