A Gift of Thanks

The charitable organization Only In Wisconsin Giving, the charitable arm of New Glarus Brewing Company, played a pivotal role in ensuring the preservation of Candy Cane Park's greenspace. Not only did they purchase the property so the community had the time to raise necessary funds, but they also generously matched donations with a generous contribution of $75,000. As such, New Glarus Cares commissioned a local artist to create a painting of Candy Cane Park so we could give it to Only In Wisconsin Giving to thank them for their support.

Rachel Christopoulos was chosen to create the painting. Her beautiful artwork was officially presented to Only In Wisconsin Giving at the Victory Party today (October 15, 2023) at Dirty Dog Taphaus.

Rachel's painting, which beautifully captures the essence of Candy Cane Park, will also be printed onto limited-edition Christmas cards, which will be available for purchase at the New Glarus Christkindli Market. The proceeds these sales will be used to fund our next public project, furthering our mission to enrich the community of New Glarus.
