Board of Directors Formed

On Tuesday, November 15th the New Glarus area community organization New Glarus Cares formally met for the first time and elected its first board members. These stewards of New Glarus Cares will help guide the organization and its members as it continues to work to build a better community. The organization's first order of business is an effort to raise money to fund the purchase of the green space adjacent to Candy Cane Park.

Those elected to the board of directors for New Glarus Cares include:

- Matt Belknap
- Karen Condouris
- Shelly Johnson
- Katy Lounsbury
- Mike Marty

The New Glarus Cares board includes five people at the moment but may expand to seven at a later date. New Glarus Cares also includes several other people who are busy working in the trenches supporting its efforts and volunteering to meet the organization's goals.
