Celebrate the Grand Opening of New Glarus' First Inclusive Playground!
New Glarus Cares is excited to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new inclusive playground at Candy Cane Park! Hosted by New Glarus Cares and the Village of New Glarus, this special event will take place on Thursday, September 19th at 5:30 PM at Candy Cane Park, located at the corner of 5th Street and 10th Avenue. This project, which has been months in the making, is a result of our community’s incredible support and dedication.
The new playground is designed for children of all abilities, featuring accessible swings, sensory play elements, and smooth pathways, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun. This ribbon cutting marks a significant milestone for New Glarus, making it our first inclusive playground, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Join the Community Potluck!
After the ribbon cutting, stick around for a community potluck! New Glarus Cares will be serving chili, and we encourage you to bring your favorite dish to share. Whether it’s a family recipe or something simple, your contribution will make this event even more special.

A picnic blanket or folding chair for seating (as seating is limited)
