Beer and Cheese Fundraiser Planned

New Glarus' own Rusty Raven and Sportsman's Bar & Grill are holding a fundraiser to help New Glarus Cares Community Foundation raise money to assist in the purchase greenspace at Candy Cane Park.

The event will be held on Saturday March 25th and will take place at Rusty Raven's downtown New Glarus location and the adjacent Sportsman's Bar & Grill. The event will feature a four-course beer and cheese pairing including beer from New Glarus Brewing Company and cheese from Chalet Cheese Haus, near Monroe, Wisconsin. Attendees will also enjoy live music, food and drink specials, raffles and door prizes. New Glarus Brewing Company and Chalet Cheese are also sponsoring the event. Kristi Schultz from Rusty Raven is organizing the event.

For a suggested donation of $40 per person seats can be reserved, though seats are limited, so reservations are encouraged. Interested individuals can call 608-527-3733 to make a reservation.

Shelly Johnson, President of the New Glarus Cares Community Foundation, said she appreciates Rusty Raven to help raise funds. "We are thrilled to have the support of Rusty Raven for our cause. The purchase of greenspace at Candy Cane Park will benefit the entire community and we are grateful for their hard work and contribution."

Jon Hovland from Rusty Raven, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. "We are honored to be able to give back to our community in this way. We hope that this event will not only raise funds for a great cause, but also bring the community together for a fun evening."
