Vierbicher Helps with Park

New Glarus Cares Community Foundation, Inc. is working collaboratively with Only in Wisconsin Giving to raise funds to support the purchase of 2.2 acres of greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park. This 2.2 acres of land has been unofficially used as an extension of the park for many years, so this is the logical next step to expand the park. Vierbicher Associates is donating time and resources to apply for a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Knowles-Nelson-Stewardship Grant.

The Knowles-Nelson-Stewardship Grant is available to local governments and nonprofits to fund recreational developments statewide. Grant dollars can be used to fund local park infrastructure, picnic areas, recreational trails, support facilities including access roads, parking, restrooms, signage and lighting, and land purchases for parks and nature preserves.

Vierbicher was founded in 1976 by James Vierbicher, PE, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. With offices today in Reedsburg, Madison, and Milwaukee, Vierbicher has grown into a multi-disciplinary community planning and civil engineering firm that provides services to public and private clients throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.
