Sledding Party Saturday

New Glarus Cares, the local community foundation working to raise funds to preserve the 2.2-acre greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park, announced today that it is hosting a community sledding party at Candy Cane Park Hill this Saturday.

The event will be held between noon and 3 PM on Saturday, February 4th. While supplies last, free hot chocolate, Smores, and hot dogs that were graciously donated by Hoesly’s Meats, of New Glarus, will be served.

“We hope every child or adult who is young at heart will attend the event,” said Shelly Johnson, President of New Glarus Cares.”

So come early and bring your friends and neighbors for what is sure to be a fun afternoon.

If you would like to donate money to help preserve this land as greenspace for future generations to enjoy, you are encouraged to make a check out to “New Glarus Cares” and send it to Bank of New Glarus, 1101 Highway 69, Suite 11, New Glarus, WI 53574.
