Cheese and Beer Party a Big Success
The Sportsman's Reloaded, Rusty Raven and Chalet Cheese fundraiser to raise funds to help buy the land adjacent to Candy Cane Park was a big success. The event was held at Sportsman's Reloaded and was made possible with generous support also from New Glarus Brewing Company.
Local Businesses and Organizations Give
New Glarus Cares Community Foundation announced that local businesses and organizations have made generous donations to support the purchase of the greenspace at Candy Cane Park increasing the amount raised to date to $55,012.
New Glarus Cares Receives Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Status
New Glarus Cares Community Foundation, Inc., which was formed to help raise funds for the purchase of the greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park, has received its 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

New Glarus Cares Receive Donation from Biglers
The annual Go Bigs or Go Home Trivia event at Puempel's Tavern was a huge success, with ten teams and approximately sixty people participating. This year's event also included a Silent Online Auction, which raised an impressive $3,876.
Beer and Cheese Fundraiser Planned
New Glarus' own Rusty Raven and Sportsman's Bar & Grill are holding a fundraiser to help New Glarus Cares Community Foundation raise money to assist in the purchase greenspace at Candy Cane Park.
New Sign Tracks Progress
New Glarus Cares Community Foundation has installed a new sign at the entrance of the village to showcase the progress made in raising funds for the purchase of the greenspace at Candy Cane Park. The sign, built and painted by board member Katy Lounsbury and her family, features a penguin climbing a mountain to track donations.

$2000 Raised at Puempel’s

On Sunday New Glarus Cares Board members and friends met at Puempel’s Olde Tavern for the annual removal of half of the money clinging to the ceiling in the bar, a popular tradition. The other half of the money on the ceiling remains so customers can still enjoy the splendor of bills stuck to the ceiling overhead.
Auction Helps Raise Funds
The "Go Bigs or Go Home" Trivia Event was formed by family and friends with the aim of raising funds for the Jeremy Bigler Scholarship, not only to keep his memory alive, but to help a New Glarus High School student with college expenses. The plan again is to donate $1500.
Roy’s Market Customers Donations Total $2,584.25
Roy’s Market in New Glarus announced that through the generous donations of their customers and staff they are presenting a check to New Glarus Cares for $2,584.25 in support of the group’s efforts to preserve the greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park.
Sledding Party a Huge Success
The sledding party hosted by New Glarus Cares on February 4, 2023, was a huge success! The foundation, which is working to preserve the 2.2-acre greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park, attracted many families and community members who came out to enjoy the winter weather and support the cause.

Kleeman’s Holds Meat Raffles
Kleeman's Bar & Grill announced it is hosting a meat raffle on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM at its bar located at 116 5th Avenue in New Glarus. Anyone and everyone is invited to attend. Proceeds from the event will be given to New Glarus Cares, who is using the money to donate for the purchase of the greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park.
